• Swiss Ball or Physio Ball
It is a versatile piece of exercise equipment for people who suffer from back pain. By doing the ball program your physiotherapist provides you, you can prevent future episodes of back pain by helping to strengthen the body’s core muscles, which help to stabilize the spine. These ball exercises also provide movement to the spine in a controlled manner to help keep the discs nourished by increasing blood flow around the disc; thereby preventing slipped disc, spondylosis, and other general back pain.
• TheraBand
TheraBands are resistive exercise bands in different, color-coded resistance levels, distinguished by the thickness of the band (weak to strong)- yellow, red, green, blue, black and silver. These bands are excellent to train general strength, conditioning, rehabilitation and/or injury prevention and can be used for working out any body part.
• Exercise Mats
Exercise mats are soft enough to cushion you during exercises, but still hard enough for the exercises to be effective. Doing exercises on the floor can be painful and cause strains while doing them on the bed may not give you the desired outcome due to the softness. Mats are especially necessary for back exercises, core strengthening, various abdominal and oblique exercises such as sit ups, crunches, and aerobics.
